partners meet in Goa
Smile
Foundation organised a Directors’ Meet for its international
partners under Action For Children (AFC) programme in Goa, India,
between June 10 and 13. The four-day-long meet was attended by representatives
from Smile Foundation, Soul City (South Africa), Cese (Brazil),
Wilde Ganzen, Net4Kids and Kids Rights, also from The Netherlands.
The participants discussed on a host of issues and strategies under
the AFC programme, devised to sensitise and involve the privileged
mass for the development of the underprivileged mass.
The meet
highlighted further consolidation and expansion of the AFC programme
in the developing countries, focusing on regions in South Asia,
South America and Africa.
A
Regional day
Smile
Foundation organised a Regional Day for its various partner organisations
from different parts of India in March ’09. The objective
was to share the success stories and also discuss the failures of
last year. It was a right platform to jointly prepare a strategy
in enhancing the ambit of AFC programme in India.
During
this Meet, special sessions by expert were also conducted on themes
like Project Management, Communication for organisational development
and sustainability, which enlightened the partners on some crucial
aspects.

Northern
regions Partner’s meet
A 2-day
northern regions partner’s meet was organised by Smile Foundation
in the month of August, 2009, to share our strategies and to build
the capacities of the newly associated Development Organisations
in North India.
In this
event, Future plans, new methods of Fund raising and ways to strengthen
our partnership were discussed about along with the inputs of the
partners in detail. Partners have preciative of Smile’s effort
and have voiced to hold such meets in future as well.
Partner’s
Meet

Smile
Foundation organised a Partner’s meet with all its NGO partners
from Eastern parts of India in Orissa on December 3 - 4, 2009. The
2-day long meet aimed at building the capacity of the Grass root
development organisations. There were representatives from 21 NGOs
from West Bengal, Chattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Assam,
Manipur, etc. Organised at Hotel Kalinga in Bhuvaneshwar, Orissa,
the event proved to be a right platform for sharing problems and
making an attempt to find solutions to them.
Special sessions on Good Governance, Scalability and Leadership
were held. |
